PT BAHARY RIGINDO SARANA   (BRS)  was incorporated in late 1982 and is a fully registered and licensed Indonesian Drilling Contactor.  Copies of company documentation are provided  on the other pages of this web site.   BRS is 100% Indonesian owned and has purchased drilling rigs, thereby confirming  BRS as a bonafide National Drilling Contractor.

The first contract was awarded to BRS in late 1985, followed by a second contract in June 1986.  In June 1987, BRS signed its third contract.  All contracts have been with PT Stanvac Indonesia for providing  drilling services in their South Sumatra concession.

The three rigs previously owned by BRS were purchased from Bawden Drilling International Ltd. who have had rigs employed in Indonesia, either directly or indirectly, since 1969.
 

Technical assistance for BRS operations was provided through an agreement with International Directional Services Ltd. who through affiliated companies have been providing technical expertise on contracts throughout Indonesia for over 18 years.   Personnel provided through this agreement are highly qualified, have years of international  experience and are familiar with the working environment in the Indonesian Oilfields.  Of major importance is the transfer of technology to Indonesian national personnel  and a high priority is given to this through on-the-job training and courses available through institutions in Indonesia.
 

Another important part of the technical assistance agreement has been the installation and  maintenance of programs for - Rig Maintenance,  Inventory, and Safety.  The results of such programs are identified later in another presentation.
 

The scope of services available from BRS encompasses the complete requirements for drilling of wells in  remote environments where logistic is as important as the drilling itself.
